Freelance Software Engineer · Munich
From idea to shipped product. Web, iOS & AI.
For founders who need an MVP and teams that need it done right: one engineer who scopes, designs, builds, and launches.
Direct line to the engineer behind NeatPass, the PDF-to-Wallet app featured by Apple. No agency layers, no handoffs.
- Full-stack delivery: scoping, design, build, and launch, all from one person.
- Apple is building my app's concept into iOS 27. I shipped it first.
- TUM computer science, top 8% of the cohort. Fluent in German and English.
Results you can verify
Nothing here is a claim you have to take on faith. The App Store listing, the press coverage, and the code are all public.
NeatPass
PDF to Apple Wallet, fully on-device
Airlines, gyms, and ticket shops send PDFs. Apple Wallet wants passes. NeatPass converts any PDF into a Wallet pass directly on the iPhone, with on-device AI and zero uploads.
I took it from idea to App Store entirely solo: product design, native Swift app, on-device ML pipeline, zero-knowledge pass signing, localization, and launch.
Apple validated the idea
At WWDC 2026 Apple added pass creation to Wallet in iOS 27, from a template or a live camera scan, but not from a PDF or screenshot. I shipped the harder part first, and built NeatPass to stay the more capable app.

Who you'll be working with

I'm Justin Lanfermann, a software engineer from Munich. I study computer science at TUM in the top 8% of my cohort, lead software development at TUM.ai, and work in development and infrastructure at Westend61.
I shipped NeatPass solo, hold the CHECK24 GenDev stipend, and have tutored hundreds of CS students. Young, yes. That's exactly why everything on this page is public and verifiable.
